Since I am a late bloomer in the college field and my major is Psychology, I thought I would check out this magazine, Psychology Today. I find it to be rather enlightening. The articles really catch my eye and are very interesting.
Psychology Today is not like other magazines I have read. There are no perfume samples or fashion ads. There are no articles on the latest summer hairdos. It's all about psychology. The ads that I do see usually are ads for medications like Kava Kava or Buspar. Which I don't recommend drugs to fix all problems.
This magazine arrives once every other month and the subscription runs around $15 a year and you can get it from just about any magazine web site or news stand.
If you are into the study of the mind then you will like this magazine. It features such articles as: ADHD, which discusses the growing prescription rate of Ritalin for our young people. You can find articles on Jealousy and why it may help a relationship. Of course the Jealousy article gives you the psychological perspective of it!
You can find personal articles on experience with Shock Therapy and living with obsession. You can also find information on many colleges and universities that offer Psychology degrees many of which you can obtain through distance learning like myself.
You don't have to be "into" psychology just to love this magazine. You can also turn to magazines like this to help you find some answers on your own personal problems. I believe in self-analyzation. Find out what's wrong and try to fix it. The fixing is the hardest part.
As I said earlier you can obtain this magazine just about anywhere on line or you can go straight to the source at www.psychologytoday.com, then you can read a few articles from their latest magazine and decide for yourself.
