I am a diver, I love diving and (as everyone else probably does,)reading magazines about diving. Awhile back I received a free copy of Rodale's scuba diving, complete with a card that basically stated, enjoy this free copy and let us know if you want to subscribe.
Good Mag! I felt that the articles and the equipment reviews were terrific. They were very in depth and informative, here comes the down side, brace yourself.
Three months later I receive a notice in the mail from Rodale's that my account is way over due. Hold on there pardner! I did not subscribe!!!
I didn't even receive any other issues besides the one they sent claiming that it was free! Whats up with this? The notice says that if payment is not received promptly that I will end up having bad credit with there company? I'm thinking, who cares? It's not like I am going to buy anything from them through financing. Now if it shows up affecting any other credit, well I maybe wrong, but I'm thinking lawsuit from heck!!!!!
In closing friends and neighbors, if you want some good information on scuba related items and subjects, then subscribe, if you receive a free copy and you don't want it, send the sucker back by registered mail, because obviously they will try to charge you for it, and (God forbid) ruin your credit with their company!
