When I first became a diver I got a subscription to Rodale's through a program that helped my daughter's school. At first I thought it was an excellent magazine with very well written articles and good advice. But slowly the ads began to creep in more and more. Finally it seemed like it was nothing but advertisements. Some of the advertisements look like articles until you look at the fine print and see that it is a paid ad not an article.

I do still trust their ratings on equipment though. They do have a very rigorous testing lab and I would be willing to buy a product that they recommend. I will not, however, subscribe to their magazine again unless they change their format and put in less ads. I understand that the ads help keep my cost down but lets get real.
