I have subscribed to Sport for 2 years. The price was great. It does not go into the depth that Sports Illustrated does, it does not break the wallet to subscribe.
But all that is past now, I got a letter last week stating that the magazine has been discontinued. No refunds were being offered and I had until 9/9 to return the enclosed postcard (No postage paid either) to pick my new magazine. My current subscription did not expire until 2002. So their magazine offerings- 5 different Auto Racing type magazines that I could care less about. 3 scuba diving magazines which, again, do not interest me. 2 rock climbing magazines and 1 photography magazine. The choices were horrendous, had nothing to do with the sports I like. If you did not send the post card in by the 9th, they would pick the magazine for you. Granted the two year subscription that I just paid for was only $12.97, but they could have told me two months ago when I was asked to renew, that they were not sure the magazine would last much longer. The manner in which they handled this matter was deplorable and now I am stuck with a magazine that I am not interested in and they have the money.
