Wallpaper* is a swanky UK publication that encompasses an endless organic list of avant garde lifestyle aspects. Each issue presents insights on current notable design products, restaurants, and designers along with full articles on global destinations, design (architectural, fashion, and industrial) issues, and gourmet food.
The magazine explodes with brilliant colorful photographs, intelligent articles and numerous fashion advertisements... all to make the consumerist reader drool and covet... and purchase. It is indeed, the consumerist handbook. 9 times per year, it guides the savvy, sexy, consumer in the art of staying swanky and trendy.
There are, however, two problems with this magazine. The first is that it releases 9 issues per year. It really should be a monthly magazine. It's just so good. The second problem is the subscription rate for the United States. The cover price is $6.95US, the yearly subscription is $70US. When most publications give significant discounts for annual subscriptions over the standard cover price, Wallpaper* has made it more expensive to subscribe than to go to the local Barnes & Nobles.
But then again, i don't really mind going out to the bookstore for this wonderful magazine. That is how i found it in the first place.
