i love this magazine, it's really cool! on half the pages are ads but that doesn't bother anybody at all, because they are cool ads, for example for gucci or versace and stuff like that.
wallpaper has correspondents all over the world (from berlin to bejing and from denver to dubai...) that write great articles in a nice young, trendy language. this magazine is not only international touched, it IS international and very stylish (especially the layout).
with topics like fashion, architecture, transportation and so on it's all i want. if i want to have something political i read another magazine. wallpaper is pure lifestyle.
the articles are very well written, but everything is under this fashion-aspect, for example, if they write about the new german high-speed comfort train 'metropolitan' from cologne to hamburg, they spent the first half page on describing the jill sander slippers you should wear, when you take it. for people who are really into fashion this is really cool, but i can see why people are bothered by it.
another thing is, that nothing in wallpaper is 'plain'. there are never only pictures, there is always a funny story to it, written by one of the correspondents.
especially the travel-tips are great, because in every wallpaper they describe at least one city and print its map on a big cardboard you can take out of the magazine. in the back of the magazine you are also informed about prizes for flights to the destinations they described in each issue. total information!
wallpaper comes out bi-monthly and is unfortunately not too easy to get. maybe you have to do some research......too bad there is no website available.
