Pros: excellent fitness magazine for athletically inclined women who like challenge
Cons: none
The Bottom Line: The most inspirational women's fitness magazine yet created, highlighting women athletes rather than very thin models.

I subscribed to this magazine for about as long as it was around and was very disappointed to hear it would be coming no more (and substituted with the vastly inferior Self Magazine).
Gabrielle Reese always had inspiring words. I liked her interviews, liked reading exercise training programs that featured her. Like the other women in this magazine, she is an athlete and has strong muscles without being at all too thin. To me, these are what very fit women look like.
Also inspiring were the individual features on different women athletes. It made me want to pick up a basketball, go ride a mountain bike, punch and kick, run, jump rope… The emphasis was on strong, healthy bodies. I wanted to know what these women ate and how they trained because they looked like they wouldn't pass out on a long hike from lack of calories.
Seriously, this magazine highlighted some of the world's best and strongest women athletes and served as inspiration to those of us who want exercise to make us healthy and happy--who think of exercise and sport together. I sorely miss this magazine and hope it returns.
