Pros: inexpensive; great lather/bubbles; left skin feeling silky soft
Cons: scent very strong; scent too perfume like for me; may not be available anymore
The Bottom Line: If you enjoy the scent & can find it - give it a try. The smell is just too strong for me.

I have a dear friend here on Epinions (well, she’s a dear friend off of Epinions, too) who is definitely the go-to-girl for bath/body products. We tend to enjoy a lot of similar scents and by now I know from what she says about a product if it’s one I’d probably like or one that probably isn’t for me. She is the reason I purchased my bottle of mark's Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup back when I did.

I purchased my 8.45 fl. Oz. bottle of mark Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup for $6. Yes, it was not pricey. At all. In fact the price was one of many reasons I was so willing to try it out. If I didn’t like it, I wasn’t exactly breaking the bank. mark’s Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup is sold by mark which is Avon’s more trendy company that is aimed more towards the younger set.
mark has this to say about their product: “Drizzle on our Hollywood Pink Shower Syrup to cleanse and soften skin. This chocolate shower syrup leaves skin silky smooth and fragranced with the chocolaty scent of Hollywood Pink.” – copied from their web site (http://www.meetmark.com/)
My Experience
I’d heard that mark’s Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup smelled somewhat like Aquolina’s Pink Sugar which is a scent I liked, but had found was just too strong for me. I’ve got allergies and most perfumes bother my allergies. Sadly Aquolina’s Pink Sugar was no different.
mark’s Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup is thicker than most shower gels which I guess would be why they call it a syrup. Syrup is actually pretty accurate as it’s certainly not thick enough to be called a cream. It’s a café mocha shade and smells like… well, to my nose it smells sweet, but nothing like chocolate. It smells foody, but also powdery and musky. The scent is pretty strong for a shower gel – er, shower syrup and on my skin, the scent lasts all day long. I’d liken the scent strength to perfume to be totally honest. It does fade as the day wears on but come bedtime I have no problems smelling it on my skin when I’ve used it to shower with that morning. The scent also fills up my bathroom and lasts all day long any time I use mark’s Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup.
I’ve found that a little of mark’s Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup goes a long way on my bath pouf. Just a bit of this shower syrup and I’m blessed with an abundance of bubbles and lather. I’m a huge fan of bubbles and lather, so for me this is a nice big plus.
My skin tends to be rather dry and some shower gels (and even some shower creams) seem to dry it out even more. Thankfully mark Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup does not dry out my skin and actually seems to leave it softer than it was prior to my use. Even in the shower as the water rinses away the lather my skin has an almost silky feel to it.
And so…
I’d say if you like Aquolina’s Pink Sugar scent you’ll probably like mark’s Hollywood Pink Deluscious Shower Syrup. The price can’t be beat, the lather and cleaning ability is fantastic. For those who are more sensitive to smells, you probably want to stay away from this one. I’ve found it to be a bit too over powering as far as the scent’s strength so it’s not one I would repurchase. Then again, it may not even be available for purchase… I just checked and it would appear this product may very well be discontinued but I’m not 100% on that. I’m thinking perhaps mark’s Self Sanctuary Chocolate Orchid Shower Wash is what is available now instead. If you know, leave me a comment.
