Mattel Monster High Spectra Vondergeist Composition Notebook Gorgeous Doll

My 7 year old daughter, like most of her friends, is into Monster High.  One of the dolls that she absolutely "had" to have last year at Christmas was this Spectra Vondergeist doll.  It had just come out and was hard to find and going for exorbitant prices online, of course - that was the doll she 'had to have'.  Thanks to zoolert, I got it at retail (under $20) from Wal-mart.com and 99 cent shipping, so I was able to 'deliver' on her wish for Spectra.   Now that the holidays have come and gone the dolls are more available, though Mattel is always making new 'versions' and lines of the Monster High dolls so if you want this exact one it may be harder to come by.

Spectra Vondergeist  is the daughter of the ghosts. She comes with her  Pet Ferret Rhuen. This doll also comes with a plastic stand, a hairbrush, a purse, and a small black composition notebook (diary). 

My daughter HAD to have spectra because she likes her purple hair and her overall look.  Spectra Vondergeist has very gorgeous and long 2 toned purple (dark purple and lilac) hair. Spectra also has funky eyes that are a mix between purple and aqua and she is wearing aqua eyeshadow. She has pale blue lips!  Because she is a ghost her appendages (arms and legs) are ghostly pale white but then her forearms, hands, calves and feet are clear/invisible.  Spectra is wearing a pretty black and sparkly fuschia tutu style dress -tulle on the bottom and pleather on the top.  Her accessories (earrings, belt, and boots) all have a ball & chain theme. 

Like other Monster High dolls, Spectra's head is poseable, and the arms, hands, and legs are moveable and bend at the joints.  The hands do snap off  and can be easily lost. They will loosen up over time so I don't encourage my daughter to remove them.  Our spectra has lost a hand on occasion and let me tell you - finding a CLEAR tiny hand isn't fun.  I found it with my foot  long after giving up on it as a lost cause.

Aside from losing her invisible limbs a few times, I have no complaints about Spectra. She is absolutely gorgeous as far as ghosts go and meets with major approval from my little monster high fan.
