If you have the movie you should get the soundtrack!

Pros:It's great!
Cons:Not all the songs in the movie were included
The Bottom Line: I think this is a great choice to put into your music collection.

I love the movie the five heartbeats, so the next best thing is to get the soundtrack where I can listen to anywhere.
Not every song form the movie is on the soundtrack.
There are 9 tracks of some of the best songs from the movie (one wasn't in the movie)

1.A Heart is A House for Love
A somewhat different version than what was in the movie, The Dells sing in this. It is an extended version that is about 6 minutes long, its great!

2.We Haven't Finished Yet
Remember this song when Duck (Robert Townsend) and his sister make up this song while cleaning their bedroom in the movie? The soundtrack version has Patti LaBelle singing in this, with the little sister (Tressa Thomas) and a wonderful singer called Billy Valentine

3.Nights Like This
Eddie( Michael Wright) sang this after he returns to see the group after they had Flash as the lead singer (A much shorter version). This version is sung by the Group After 7.

4. Bring Back The Days
This one wasn't in the movie, if I remember correctly. This one is sung by a group I had never heard of before, U.S. Male. Even with the unique group name, the song has a modern/old-school feel, its a slow jam and the group sings well. Worth pressing play to hear it and see if you like it...

5. Baby Stop Your Running
Performed by Bird and The Midnight Falcons, one of the Five Heartbeat's rival groups. Same version from the movie

6. In the Middle
The song the group performed with Flash being the lead singer for the 1st time. Same version as the movie except it does not include where Flash and J.T. battle out to win over the girl in the audience with their vocal skills.

7. Nothing but Love
Same version as in the movie, the 1st song the heartbeats performed in the movie

8. Are you ready for Me
Performed by Flash and The Ebony Sparks, their first song in the movie

9. Stay in my Corner
This song was in the movie, it was in the background when the group went to eat at a restaurant where the audience was first exposed to the "Shy Brother" game by J.T. and Duck. Sung by The Dells, the movie was inspired by them

10. I Feel Like Going On
The song that Eddie sang while in church, singing after his recovery. It is an extended version with more singers except Eddie's wife, which in the movie sang this song also. Very inspirational and heart touching.
