I can't remember how I started listening to Roberta Flack. But I do remember when I started to like her. It was in the Chapter Two album. The very first song - "Reverend Lee" - almost made me blush listening to it, so I felt very mature being able to listen to it. My all-time favorite - then and now - is "Do What You Got To Do". I was in a long-distance romance and this song helped me to get through a relationship I knew would not get any further, but was enjoyable during the time. I have always wanted to thank Ms. Flack in person, but have never gotten the chance. The whole album is thought provoking. Ms. Flack always seems to act as a friend giving good advice by way of song.
