WOO-HOO! Glad you returned to this disc. It is truly, absolutely, completely outstanding. Funny how it strikes a chord so many years later without sounding in the least bit dated.
Thanks for the comment.

Well, dear Shelly, I took you up on this review and scored this disc from BMG. After not hearing it for about 20 years, I was reminded of how splendid it truly is. I was also reminded that Graham Maby is the most badass dude to ever play bass with a pick. So thanks go to you for the worthwhile recommendation!
Cheers,
Paul

Thanks for reminding me of this fantastic performer. I'll have to pull out my copy of Body And Soul, that I haven't heard in ages. Sheila

Nope. I've never thought of Jackson as being mainstream. Plus, well, I've reviewed the occasional mainstream album anyway :)
Thanks for the comment.

Good op. I love this album, I'm surprised it got 5 stars from you Lamby, this feels too mainstream for your usual CD reviews.

Is She Really Going Out With Him really is one of the greatest songs of the last few decades, and you've payed it wonderful tribute (something Sugar Ray didn't quite manage). If you've never heard Jackson's two disk live set from tours between '80 and '86, see if you can find a copy. There are three different versions of that song, each completely unlike the others, and each simply amazing...

one of my fave albums. I have even converted my children to the "Look Sharp Side"....my 12yo can regularly be heard singing "Pretty women out walkin' with gorillas down my street"...love it!

For being the first person I've read that used the word classic in an appropriate context! Nice review...
