..and I remain amazed that after all these years...almost two generations...young teens of today still crank it up when a Zep tune comes on. The Stones and the Beatles generally garner "most influential" honors in mainstream rock categories whenever surveys are taken, yet "Stairway To Heaven" more often than not seems to top the best rock songs of history category. These guys appeal to blues fans, metal heads, and rockers, and arguably, could be THE rock band of all time.
And "Kashmir..." As you noted...how do you even categorize that masterpiece?
