He's one of my favorite artists and you fascinated me with this. I love The Very Best Of, but I may have to get this one. Thanks!

. . . reading (perhaps somewhere on catstevens.com) that in Wild World, he's singing to the young, inexperienced part of him who wants to go out and explore it all . . .
. . . anyway, this is an excellent epinion and i'm glad i had the chance to contribute something in the comment section. Nice job Brian! ...t-žoo

I wouldn't say that he improves on it, but it is a pretty good version. As for the fatwa thing, I suppose I was (maybe a little), but I think it's still important to understand the context of the whole fiasco.
Thanks for the comments.

Does (Reply to this comment)
by Stephen_Murray, in Music
he improve upon Sam Cooke's "Another Saturday Night (and I ain't got nobody)"? I recently decided I had to have "Tea for the Tillerman" on CD, after weighing the two greatest hits compilations.
I think you verge on special pleading re: the fatwa on Rushdie, but we do forgive a lot in artists we like...

Thanks for commenting. I'm planning on trying to pick up his actual catalogue, but it's on the long list of stuff I want to pick up.
