Ynmaeven's Full Review: Couldn't Stand the Weather [Remaster] by Stevie Ra...
Great cd! Vaughan is the best R&B player since B. B. King! He plays and sings from the very depths of his soul. Listen to this cd and just TRY to keep from moving and tapping your toes, bobbing your head or beating the rhythm on a table! There are 13 tracks and they all are cool. They are:
1. Scuttle Buttin'
2. Could't Stand The Weather
3. The Things (That) I Used To Do
4. Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)
5. Cold Shot
6. Tin Pan Alley (aka Roughest Place in Town)
7. Honey Bee
8. Stang's Swang
9. SRV Speaks
10. Hide Away
11. Look At Little Sister
12. Give Me Back My Wig
13. Come On (Pt. III)
Stevie Ray Vaughan was killed in a helicopter crash in the 80's at the heighth of his success. It was devastating to all who loved him and his music. Because of him, there had been a revival of blues even larger than the one in the 60's. This man had SOUL! Great music. Stevie Ray Vaughan will sorely be missed.
You just have to buy this cd and have a listen. Even if you aren't into the blues, you have to admire Stevie Ray Vaughan's playing skills and admire the quality of his performance. It's grrrreat!
