I agree 100% w/ your bottom line..I Used To Love H.E.R. is definitely one of my 5 favorite hip-hop songs of all time. Never known anyone who sat and listened to the song and wasn't hooked for life...D

Thanks! I wonder where sfoster79 went off to, he was one of the first people I trusted. Even though he hasn't written in a while, I'm still hesitant to remove him from my WOT...

I don't think it'd be accurate to really call it Jazz/Hip Hop fusion. Com just uses a lot of jazz samples to rhyme over. Thanks for the comment though.

.... an absoloutely fantastic review this - of a fantastic artist. I agree, Common is one of the finest lyricists around. Even my dad liked Common - because of that jazzy spice that his sound has!
