The Bottom Line: A timeless classic. Don't buy it if you listen to today's commercial bling bling sound... Buy this album if you want real raw street rap.

This album stands as a landmark for eastcoast hip hop and will always be remembered in the hip hop hall of fame. From the first track, The Start Of Your Ending (41st side) right through to the head-crushin Party's Over, The Infamous is a milestone. You won't hear any album more grimey and hardcore than The Infamous. Survival Of The Fittest is one of the hottest joints on here. Eye For A Eye (Your beef Is Mines) says it all in the title. it also features a great guest performance by Raekwon and Nasty Nas. Give Up The Goods (Just Step) has Noyd spitting his best verse EVER. Songs like Hectic and Cradle To The Grave are just raw. The Q-Tip produced Drink Away The Pain (Situations) is one of my favourites. Prodigy rhymes about his bitter love with the biggest heartbreaker of all... alcahol. Q-Tip has a more surprising verse where he uses clothing brand names as characters in his story. The standout song here is still the hit single Shook Ones Pt.II. The song still sends chills down your spine listening to it. The words "aint no such things as halfway crooks" are stuck in my head. Buy this album if you appreciate REAL rap, from people who have lived what they speak about.
