this may set an all-time record for longest gap between comments, but thanks--three and a half years late! I also enjoy "Harpur Valley" because of its attack on hypocrisy. I recently wrote a play, "To Swim Like Roxanne," which was set in 1968. The play actually had an epinionator's name in the title but was changed so that person wouldn't feel self-conscious. Riley's song was mentioned in the play as a song Roxanne liked.

32 years ago was 1972, not 1968!

This brought back a few memories for me too, especially Harper Valley.
