beyond the hits, this isn't a very good album. Better off listening to the real thing, the Beatles.

I couldn't escape Don't Look Back In Anger... (Reply to this comment)

...during its entire chart run. Talk about overplayed! I finally got sucked in. I dunno, though, about Oasis. Putting aside all the Beatles comparisons, the album just gets stale after a while. And someone should have smacked Noel for "She's Electric". His inclusion of that track on the album would be like The Beatles doing Long Tall Sally or something.

Wha --?

Ooops, never mind.

Excellent review, Shelly.

Best,
George

... Hee hee! You almost got me to like Oasis... almost...

I do love Wonderwall though, and a lot of the first album and the b-sides are good, so I don't totally hate them!

The Stereophonics on the other hand are very lucky that I don't know anyone who owns any of their albums...

I had almost forgot about this release until you brought all the memories flushing back. Gives me thoughts of my time in Grand Rapids, MI. Just a thought but you mentioned Oasis had some amount of staying power by being calm but my take would be that a lot of their artistic value may have come from the squabbling within the band. One may never know...

Keep 'em coming,

Carey
