ajuliano's Full Review: The Burdens of Being Upright by Tracy Bonham
Tracy Bonham is one of those artists who doesn’t get nearly the recognition she deserves. I bought this album after hearing “Mother, Mother” and “You’re the One”—but it’s stayed in my personal heavy rotation because of the likes of “Bulldog” and “Navy Bean.” Bonham is the thinking man’s/woman’s Alanis Morisette; “she kisses harder than me” her more apt, better equivalent to “would she go down on you in a theatre.” And if you like infectious, fast, guitar-driven songs, they’re here, too. This would be the perfect gift for someone who likes Morisette, Hole, or other "angry" girl bads. Bonham is thge best of the bunch. I’m hoping for more out of Tracey, but I fear that she’ll be forgotten in a N’Sync/Korn world.
