Will2K's Full Review: Evil Empire [PA] by Rage Against the Machine
I can't enough of this band. This album is a little laid back compared to their first cd, I think the band just decide to tone down the grooves and put their lyrics out in the open. By doing they enabled the fans to go a little deeper into what this band stands for. The lyrics written and performed by Zack de la Rocha are inspiring to underclass citzens in countries all over the world. One of the more inspiring songs on the cd is People of the sun written for revolutionaries in Mexico called Zapatistas. Songs like this have given people in Mexico strength to fight their oppressing government. The groove in song like Bulls on Parade are incredible bass booming riffs that fit perfectly with the lyrics. I bought this cd for the grooves and because I understand this band and if you can understand the band it makes the music lightyears better.
