I Was Sort of On The Cusp... (Reply to this comment)

..of the SHR era. When my younger brothers watched Saturday morning cartoons, I would catch the School House Rock breaks. They were really a lot of fun. Conjunction Junction was one of my all time favorites.
Your review was about as thorough as it could be. The only thing missing were some downloadable MP3 files of you singing your favorite tracks!
Thanks for sharing your great perspective and your improvised lyrics at the top of your review.

Recently a bunch of us aging baby-boomers were reminiscing about all the SchoolHouse Rocks songs/subjects we fondly recalled from our childhood. The most remembered was "Conjunction Junction"! ...Mark

Always think about this one in particular when I think of School House Rock. I loved this whole series between Sat Morn 'Toons. Years later, I was elated to find they were still around for both my sons. Great review and a great boxset suggestion. Thanks, quasar.

The reason for my "H" rating: (Reply to this comment)
by mkp51
After much personal soul-searching on the issue of copyright protection of song lyrics, I decided that, in good conscience, I cannot give a "VH" rating to reviews where song lyrics are quoted, but credit is not given to songwriters and composers.
In the case of your review, your quotation of lyrics is quite extensive. May I respectfully suggest you consider placing the songwriter's/ composer's name(s) and the copyright date(s) at the end of your review. If you do, I'll be very happy to re-rate this otherwise outstanding review.

I LOVE School House Rock. They don't make TV like that anymore. I'm going to have to buy the box sets for my kids when they get older. Excellent job! -mad

I certainly understand where you are coming from, and perhaps if epinions supported multiple reviews in a single category I might have split the review into sections. I did try to be as brief as possible while still maintaining the tone of SHR and including the information I thought was important.

I rated this VH (Reply to this comment)

because you obviously have a lot of time, thought and effort in it. But for my personal preference, it is much too long. I would have preferred it to be in two parts, rather than one long review. But that is just my opinion:)
