biohazzard9's Full Review: Hey Jupiter EP [EP] by Tori Amos
This is one of my favorite EP's from Tori -- It's certainly the one I listen to most often.
The Dakota version of "Hey Jupiter" is absolutely incredible, with a new bridge which brings the whole song together wonderfully.
The live version of "Sugar" is terrific, and distinctly different from the original. It's a bit angrier, and has additional lyrics.
The merry widow version of "Professional Widow" is a must have for fans of variations-on-a-theme. It's performed more as a dirge than a heavy-metalesque rant. Very moving.
Honestly, I got the EP for the Tori version of "Somewhere over the Rainbow." The song speaks for itself, and Tori performs it as only she can.
This is an especially good CD if you've recently lost a relationship. It has a very cathartic effect.
