I know I'm being too lazy but the Muse can't be persuaded. %) Really loved this recording, though. Such a break from all these brutal and hormone-filled "Carmens" around.

Good to see you reviewing again, matie! :o) And a good pick of CD, too. I think I've developed a soft spot for the Bavarian Radio Orchestra (Bayerischen Rundfunkorchester), and Maestro Sinepoli is underrated!

Jennifer Larmore and Sam Ramey as wonderful Carmen and Escamillo are expected.... but Gheorghiu in a support role!! ;o) Her vibrato gets to me sometimes, but she is indeed a heck of a singer... when she isn't too busy being Gheorghiu even when on the stage.

Thanks for another great opera review and hope you're busy writing more!

Cheerio,
Smorgy :o)
