I was a big fan of the movie Space Jam, so when I noticed the Soundtrack in my local music store, it was an instant sale. I was not disappointed by what I heard. Especially with the hilarious little number done by Barry White & Chris Rock. The song alone, Basketball Jones, made the whole CD worth the cost.

CD Listening Highlights

Track 1: Seal - Fly Like An Eagle
In my books, Seal is one of the most talented musicians I have ever heard. I was an instant fan of his after hearing his hit Kiss From A Rose, a beautiful ballad which was featured on the Batman Forever soundtrack. This song is another winner from Seal, and is also featured in the opening scenes of the movie.

Track 2: Coolio - The Winner
I'm not a big fan of Coolio, but every once in a while he releases a song that really appeals to me, and this song is one of those. It is a pleasant song with a great message.

Track 3: Quad City DJ's - Space Jam
This song is also heard during the opening credits of the movie. It's a good high energy song.

Track 4: R. Kelly - I Believe I Can Fly
R. Kelly created a wonderful song with a message that should be repeated to people every day - believe in yourself. Who can argue with a soft song with such a great message? Feel-good songs always rank tops on my list, and there are a couple of them on this CD.

Track 5: B Real, Busta Rhymes, Coolio, LL Cool J & Method Man - Hit'Em High
I'm not a big fan of Rap music usually, but this song really rocks. It features 5 good rap artists, a catchy beat, and no offensive language.

Track 8: Salt-N-Pepa - Upside Down
If you are a Salt-N-Pepa fan, this is a funky creation by them with a good beat. It fits in very well with the rest of the music on the CD.

Track 10: Barry White & Chris Rock - Basketball Jones
When I first bought the CD, my friend and I were listening to it in my truck when this song came on. We couldn't believe what we were hearing. It's a hilarious song featuring Barry White with Chris Rock doing a sort of goofy commentary in the background. This song will definitely put a smile on your face if you get a kick out of Chris Rock.

Track 14: Bugs Bunny - Buggin'
This is a sort-of bonus track featuring Bugs Bunny doing a rap song with some sounds and other movie characters thrown in. It's a cute track and great for the kids.

Final Comments
It's always a bonus to find a movie that also has a great soundtrack, and this is one of those movies. The CD contains a variety of high energy, funky, and soft music that is sure to please. If you enjoyed the movie, this soundtrack is definitely worth checking out.
