Re: Mabye You Just Don't Understand (Reply to this comment)

I think you are mistaken. I *am* a fan of The Pumpkins, but I honestly don't like their rarities and non-album songs. They by and large strike me as filler. I discovered them now 13 years ago, and still can't get into all of their music.
Sorry we don't agree--we're not going to agree. I have listened and own much of their catalogue and this little single doesn't do much for me unfortunately.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thank you. Honestly, I've tried. I managed to get these EPs very cheaply used. That's why I even ventured at all off the beaten path. I appreciate that so many people adore every note from the Pumpkins (or nearly so). I just can't get into everything, though I still must recognize their brilliance.
Anyway, thanks for the comment.

Couldn't Disagree More (Reply to this comment)

I couldn't disagree more. On the entire "The Aeroplane Flies High" box set, there is sincerely not a single song I would consider a "waste of time", or that I would even call a bad song (with the exception of "Pastichio Medley", which really only needs to be heard once). Of the five EPs, "Thirty-Three" is probably my least favorite, but it's still great. As for the better songs coming first... I don't really agree with that either. "Set the Ray to Jerry", "Pennies", "Marquis in Spades", "Medallia of the Grey Skies", and "Tonite Reprise" all either end or come near the end of these EPs, and I would say they are among the best songs they've ever done. But I digress. Very nice review.
