Courtney has finally shown her talent. Live Through This is a fantastic album, but it will always lie somewhere in the "Did Kurt write it?" area. Now, she proves that the talent is hers. Celebrity Skin gives a lot back to California and Fleetwood Mac. She shows her growth from grunge goddess to Hollywood Glamour girl and the torturous route she took to get there. Songs like the title track prove she knows all too well how disposable she is. And songs like Reasons To Be Beautiful and Northern Star remembers Kurt as only she could, someone who lived in the eye of the storm.This album has some songs that should go down as classics, but probably won't. Songs like Awful, a scarily infective bubble gumish song that should serve as a warning to all the Britney Spears' out there from someone who knows. This a beautiful,haunting record that will live as both a testament to Courtney's strength and talent and to the band's growth and power. You will remember this one.
