Dbbum's Full Review: The Great Milenko [PA] by Insane Clown Posse
ICP:Great Milenko is the fourth "Jokers Card" in the series which follows the ICP albums. This album was finally put out after many hardships, but then quickly taken off the shelves after a few hours by Disney. ICP then looked for another record company who would release the album. This is when Island Records took over. This is probably the most popular album by ICP. This will even show up in the collections of non ICP fans. Since this is the fourth Jokers Card, you must learn what is going on and why. After hearing the cd, you will know for sure what evil lurks ahead. Following is a listing of the song titles, a short bit about the song, lyrics, and my rating of the song. Hopefully this will allow you to see what this album has to offer, and whether it sounds like something to purchase or burn in a bonfire.
This album isn't like any other ICP album. This is the fourth Jokers Card in the series of six. But in this album, ICP is trying to put the word out about themselves more, and less of trying to make fun of rednecks, cops, and such. It's still just as great as any other, but is more of a musical advertisement for ICP and the Dark Carnival. You'll surely find most of the songs included here great ICP classics. Heck, after all the cd was released twice, so it must be great!
1. Intro - Great intro to the album. Rednecks are listening to their jukebox when the Great Milenko takes over. As with all the Jokers Cards, this intro reveals more about the Carnival. Basically the Great Milenko is a shadow which is powered by our evil doings.
[Lyric Clip]: He walks among us as a shadow, void of light, Powered by your own darkness, Strengthened by your own wickedry.

2. Great Milenko - Just a quick song introducing the Great Milenko, with some extra lyrics.

3. Hokus Pokus - Classic ICP at it's best. Another loop song with extra sounds and such in the background. If any song by ICP is widely heard, this would be it.
[Lyric Clip]: I'm Violent J, and I'm back like a vertebrae, And I come with a hat full of tricks, Trunk full of Faygo, car full of fat chicks

4. Piggy Pie - This song has been remix a few times on ICP albums, and used in private mp3 recordings. If you haven't figure it out my reading the lyrics below, the Piggy is the law (police, judges). This song is kinda funny because it represents what people may think of doing to police. I doubt anyone has tried those methods, but dreaming is always the safe way. Basically this is an anti-law song, showing how they are all rich and stuck up, while ICP sleeps in the gutters.
[Lyric Clip]: He walked in the room, and everybody rose, Lopped off bucket chillin' underneath my clothes, First they let the piggy, now you can finally sit, But what this piggy don't know is he's about to get his neck wet. After this song is a skit about depressed people who want to kill themselves, it's mad funny.

5. How Many Times? - A great slow song for the fans. The beat is almost like a loop, with some crazy zapp noises. If you've seen the video to this song, you'll know the zapp noises are when Violent J flaps his hands at the screen. This is a depressing song if you take it literally. The message is simple, how many times? How many times will stupid things happen, and make you angry. If you're angry at the world, listen to this song, you can usually relate to it.
[Lyric Clip]: How many times will I sit in a hot car?, Traffic jam, been sittin' for a hour, Must be an accident, I hope nobody died, Finally get there, and the crash is on the other side.

6. Southwest Voodoo - Some guy Named Louie Lou is a voodoo freak. Song basically walks us along the path of his voodoo spells. There's a few funny parts here about raising the dead and eating lunch.. The direction on how to make this voodoo is strange but funny. I wouldn't listen to this all the time, it's not that great.
[Lyric Clip]: Crypt on Verner on a windy night, You see voodoo scribblings in the moonlight, Painted all on the city street.

7. Hall Of Illusions - My personal favorite on this whole cd. If you've ever been on a haunted house cart ride, you'll understand this song. The cart rolls along in different situations of your life. When you enter each scene things are looking just great. Just when you think things couldn't be any better, suddenly reality kicks in and your visions are cluttered by the Great Milenko. The video to this is hilarious, I love the son on crack!
[Lyric Clip]: Back to reality and what you're about, Your wife can't smile cuz ya knocked her teeth out, And she can't see straight from gettin hit.

8. Under The Moon - Another sad song by ICP. A girl is taken away from him by another guy, and he ends up raping her anyways. It's a sad song especially if you've had a girl taken away from you and you still love her no matter what. I can relate this song now, it's not funny anymore. He knows he can always think about her under the moon, under the same moon as she lives.
[Lyric Clip]: I'll forever love you, even if you're doomed, We'll always be together cuz we're both under the moon.

9. What Is A Juggalo? - If you've ever wanted to know what a Juggalo is, you should listen to this song. It displays different things a Juggalo would do. It's a funny song if you are a Juggalo or at least know a Juggalo.
[Lyric Clip]: What is a juggalo?, Let me think for a second, Oh, he gets butt-naked, And then he walks through the streets, Winking at the freaks, With a two-liter stuck in his butt-cheeks.

10. House Of Horrors - Do you like excitement? Do you like suspense? Do you like Nel Carter? If you answered No to those questions, the house of horrors if for you. Basically you are a spectator in a freaks house, while some freak does crazy whack stuff. It's really weird, you just have to hear it.
[Lyric Clip]: Hey, come here guys, grab a chair, Don't mind me drinkin' my beer in my underwear, Come on, let's play some cardback, I just gotta story.

11. Boogie Woogie Wu - Just a song about the Boogie Man and some little kid who gets freaked out about the whole thing. I bet you it's the Great Milenko hiding in the shadows! This is funny because it's about something we all faced as a kid. This can be creepy if you still have these types of dreams and whatnot.
[Lyric Clip]: Boys and girls, it's nighty night time, Happy J the Clown has a nursery rhyme, It's about, The Boogie Woogie Man, Keep your light on as long as you can.
[Ratings]: Overall Rating 6/10
12. The Neden Game - Another great game show by ICP. This is like the game show "The Dating Game". Some women is asking the contestants questions, and they answer them in strange ways. This is definitely funny if you've ever seen The Dating Game before.
[Lyric Clip]: I like a man who's not afraid to show his true emotions .....When we go to the beach and walk through the sand, I throw a little in your face and say, I'm just playin, As you spit it all out, I'd rub your back, And grab your underwear and wedge it up your butt crack!!

13. Hellalu Jah - This song is really lame. Basically saying give God(ICP) your attention, yadada forget it, this song just plain sucks. It's just a big scam by ICP to get money, like those televangalists you always hear about.
[Lyric Clip]: God had called me and then stopped by, And he told me you're gonna die, Unless you buy my holy water, Check, cash, or a money order.
[Ratings]: Overall Rating 5/10
14. Down With The Clown - A great song, saying ICP fans are the best, and should keep listening to their music. How long will you be down with the clown?
[Lyric Clip]: How long will the juggalos be down with me?, How long till they forget me, check it out, What if I grew another head, And his name was Violent Ed, And he head butt me every time I cussed, I would need two microphones when I bust.

15. Just Like That - Just a song about Violent J about to take off to his homies house. While waiting outside a car pulls up and he gets shot. This is a quick song, nothing to brag about here. The best is kinda catchy though.
[Lyric Clip]: Jump out of bed and I head for the grapenuts, Eat em quick or they soggy and that sucks, Trying to find a clean pair of socks and a shirt, Still sporting the same drawers even though they hurt.

16. Pass Me By - A sad song to end off the album. It starts off by saying that being in heaven is better than anything you'll ever see or do on Earth. The songs shows off a few different situations where people are living and die in a strange way. There are a few funny parts here, but nothing to bust up laughing about. The song is trying to be slow and sad, we all gonna die!
[Lyric Clip]: We all gonna die, but I'm not gonna fry, Even though most never try, I'm not gonna let this pass me bye, noooo.

Seeing as this album was pulled off the shelves after its first release, it's hard to believe it's the most popular album ICP has put out. The album has been released with different Milenko colors, so not everyone will find the same colors. Red and Purple are the popular ones, while Gold is harder to come by. Big thanks to Island Records for sending the world a great album, even if you don't like ICP, this is a great item to have. I'm sure everyone can relate to something mentioned on the cd, even if you don't know who ICP is, you'll surely find a similar situation here in your life.
That's the whole deal with the Great Milenko. I'd recommend this cd to anyone who wants to follow ICP, or is already doing so. ICP fans MUST have this album, otherwise you are missing out on a major part of your life. Non fans of ICP will probably not enjoy hearing one bit of this album. Be warned this album contains racial slurs, sexual content, violent episodes, and alot of cussing. If you have a twisted sense of humor, this cd may grow on you after awhile, otherwise just forget it.
