boom5251234's Full Review: The Great Milenko [PA] by Insane Clown Posse
ICP has been around for a while, now they release their fourth album "The Great Milenko" which is also the fourth jokers card. These two have been around for a while, swearing and cussing, and getting alot of hatred from parents and all. This album was banned by Disney and got took over by Island or something. I bought this album a few years ago, hearing alot of great and classic songs were on it. After listening to it, I really liked it. ICP is trying to deliver a message it seems.
Intro: A bunch of rednecks listening to a juke machine (In their words) and the Great Milenko takes over, it has some pretty spooky music here, but just an intro to what the album is or something.
"Great Milenko" is just an introduction to the album. Nothing special.
"Hokus Pokus" is where everything starts up, introducing both Violent J and Shaggy. One of ICP's popular songs, and I just get into it every time, it has some humor to it as well, as do alot. Great song.
"Piggy Pie" is next. ICP tells the story of the three little pigs only in their own way. This is a very catchy song, where they both kill the pigs with either an ax or a shotgun. Another great song.
"How Many Times" is next, and is pretty slow. I know what this is about, the things in life that can tick you off, or something like that. They ramble about alot of things like car crashes, violence, the courts judicial system and more. I really like this, they both do a good job and has some humor and anger in it.
Next is "Southwest Voodoo" this is about some people who fool around with magic and do some things like raise the dead but they want to be left alone. Great beat here and the chorus to this is pretty catchy. I don't listen to this all the time, at times I do, its not one of my favorites, but still is decent.
Next is my favorite "Halls of Illusions". I like everything about this song, the chorus, beats and just the way its done. Its about different stages of your life I think. The chorus to this is the best one on the album, or at least I think so. Give this a listen.
"Under The Moon" is a pretty sad song about a guy who is in love with a girl, and the girl gets raped, so the guy kills the guy who raped the girl. The guy who killed him is now in jail. Nothing funny here, and this is another one of my favorites, and still a dark and sad song.
"What Is A Juggalo" is next. J and Shaggy explain what a juggalo is but they really dont know. They come up with different things on what a juggalo would do. It is pretty funny, they got alot of humor in this one, so listen.
Next is "House Of Horrors". This is about some haunted house run by The Dark Carnival. These two people go in and are scared, as they move on into different places. I really like this, it is pretty funny at times, like in the beginning. Pretty catchy too.
"Boogie Woogie Wu" is weird, but great. It is about the boogie man, and what he does to kill. I really like this, it has some humor to it as well, and some of the lines are really funny. Give this a listen as well, my favorite part is when the kid is asking to stay awake and not to fall asleep, then the boogie man comes in and stabs him saying "BOOGIE WOOGIE WOOGIE" thats pretty funny.
"The Neden game" is next. Funny song where J and Shaggy are at a game show, trying to win Sharon, and they both tell her what they will do when they go out with her. I like this as well, but not one of my favorites. The ending line is weird..."How you gonna diss you're mama" ...yeah. Great song however. Listen to it.
"Hellalu Jah" is next. This isnt very good, not weak though, I would say its poor. Not that good, J tells everyone to give their attention to ICP.
"Down With The Clown" is another very catchy song on the album. ICP is asking how long they will be down with the clown, even if Violent J sells out, grows another head or took off the makeup. The chorus to this is really catchy, I just like it.
"Just Like That". This is pretty energetic, where Violent J leaves his house to go to his friends or something and he gets shot down, pretty quick.
The albums closer "Pass Me By" is next. This is about death it seems. They want to meet some people in heaven I think, like Elvis and Hendrix, this is not too bad, but still is medicore, could have been better.
There were a bunch of comedic skits after a few songs like "Piggy Pie" "Southwest Voodoo" "How Many Times" and "Down With The Clown". "Southwest Voodoo" is pretty funny. The rest are pretty funny, but not really. This CD is a must have for ICP fans. If you're not a fan of ICP, then this may be offensive due to the swearing, but if you have a weird sense of humor, you may like it, I'll just recommend it to anyone.
