Sierra_22's Full Review: A Maze of Grace by Avalon (Christian)
This album caught my attention with two songs. "Testify to Love" and "Adonai". Both were full of a heartfelt passion that was combined with an honest purity that isn't found in secular music.
I first heard "Testify to Love" at one of my friend's weddings. A young man I know sang it and as he sang, I watched my friend, the groom. The love I saw in his eyes was so clear and so alive that it made me cry. This song touches something in my soul that longs for romance but desires it only through God's timing and plan.
"Adonai" also proclaims a pure passion but in a different sense. This is passion for God and I absolutely love this song. The song talks about crying out for God and it really expresses how I feel sometimes about crying to God. My heart longs for the type of relationship with God that is talked about in this song and gives me something to work towards.
I have this album because of these two songs and they are still my favorites but the entire album is filled with great songs like these sung by extremely talented artists who use their gifted voices to bring about these songs that touch the soul.
