althaea's Full Review: Friends of Mine by Ramblin' Jack Elliott
This is an incredible album. Ramblin' Jack Elliot's seasoned voice is joined by many of his "friends" on this album. All very seasoned musicians themselves. Apparently a few of them ended up around the kitchen table one night, Jack telling stories from Woody Guthrie to Bob Dylan. He sang and talked. Taking everyone on an incredible journey. This album has claimed,"...the songs, drawings, laughter and stories. Listen and you'll be at our kitchen table."
The tracks on the album are each unique as each of these musicians has a different styling. Ramblin' Jack Elliot, with his strong presence provides the base for the songs as the others accompany. Each has something amazing to contribute, which leads to a very unique album.
The Tracks on the Album:
