Dbbum's Full Review: Carnival of Carnage [Remaster] by Insane Clown Pos...
ICP: Carnival of Carnage is the first "Jokers Card" in the series which follows the ICP albums. This album focuses on the south. You'll find alot of songs making fun of rednecks, or killing biggots and such. The main reasoning behind the album is to show the coming of the Carnival of Carnage. Since this is the first Jokers Card, you must learn what is going on and why. After hearing the cd, you will know for sure what evil lurks ahead. Following is a listing of the song titles, a short bit about the song, lyrics, and my rating of the song. Hopefully this will allow you to see what this album has to offer, and whether it sounds like something to purchase or burn in a bonfire.
1. Intro - This is the introduction to the whole album. This just shows the coming of the Carnival, with soft background music. This really helps people know what the cd is suppose to represent.
[Lyric Clip]: The people of this town will unwillingly witness the show of their lives, only rumored to exist. They will be the next to die helplessly at the Carnival of Carnage.

2. Carnival Of Carnage - A lame song! It's just looped music, with Violet J saying "Carnival Of Carnage" This is nothing to show off to friends.

3. The Juggla - A yippy hippy tempo. Songs talks about the juggla, who kills people. He is a freak at the carnival, who apparenatly escaped to reek havoc on the town. This is a pretty good song, if you don't mind hearing about death.
[Lyric Clip]: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, he is the juggla. He'll cut your windpipe, eat your face, and slit your mf**king heart. You can see this freak show at the world famous Carnival of Carnage. Keep jugglin', mf**kaaaaa!

4. First Day Out - Violet J takes his first date since his release from jail. This tells the story of his experience with a blind date. This is a great song, because something mentioned here are true. A nice slow beat, slow vocals.
[Lyric Clip]: A little smooth talking she was on her back, And I'm finally stickin', Dump ya, and I'm keeping my chicken, You'll never guess what, My first day out and I caught my nut.

5. Red Neck H*e - A crackjoke about female rednecks. A country type theme, with normal vocals. Nice to if you like making fun of rednecks I guess.
[Lyric Clip]: You know I'll choke that greasy neck, Step to the left, step to the right, In my piece and I'll f**k your face up.

6. Wizard Of The Hood - Story about Violet J's adventure through the Hood. This is a take on the Wizard Of Oz. Violet J gets wasted at a party, passes out, and has a dream. The bass here is fun to toy with in your system. If you love the Wizard of Oz, this song may be a funny alternative.
[Lyric Clip]: And here comes a three and a half foot pimp, With a blue zoot-suit and a mack daddy limp, Yo, I got a grip on my weapon, Cuz this midget mf**ker and his boys are stepping.

7. Is That You? - Faster uplifting song. Kid Rock makes his appearance in this song, even sings a few lines. Kid Rock fans would love to hear him singing long before his American Bada$$ days.
[Lyric Clip]: But I can shoot a nut 50 foot like a super soaker, But I won't pull it out for a cheap joke, Instead I play John Holmes in a sequel to Deep Throat.

8. Psychopathic - Deep dark music, with hatred vocals. Just talking about random acts of living for psychopathics.
[Lyric Clip]: Then you see me running butt naked with a battle axe, I'm swinging and slicing and chopping and cutting and Until I'm nothing.

9. Guts On The Ceiling - Violet J explodes! Now it's time to roam around town to find his body parts. Eyeball stuck to the wall, brains in the sewers...funny song too!
[Lyric Clip]: I got nothing but guts hanging off my neck, I'm chillin', I'm illin', With my guts all over the ceiling.

10. Never Had It Made - Joe C from Kid Rock says a few lines to start off the song. Shaggy gets shot and drops out of school. Song about him being a loser, never had it made in life. Deep dark music, depressing if you hate your life.
[Lyric Clip]: And I'm sleeping in the gutter, Right next to Jam Town's mother, I'm eating dead rats in the street, I keep on checking for my own heart beat.

11. Your Rebel Flag - Their way of saying F*** The Rebel Flag! I think you get the point already, right? More ramblings downing rednecks.
[Lyric Clip]: Keep on gunning cuz of what they said, Punk, I'll put a slug in your bald head, Scalp a skinhead quick.

12. Ghetto Freak Show - Slow downing song, makes you sleepy. Taking a trip through some girls body, note the lyrics. Shaggy is just a loser clown trying to make it at some girls house. This song doesn't set well on my ICP scale.
[Lyric Clip]: Wicked clowns in the moonlight creeping, Slide through your window under your bed, Crawl in through your ear, I'm in your head.
[Ratings]: Overall Rating 8/10 Rated PG13
13. Taste w/ Esham - Fast ending to the album, features Esham! Killing people, and I guess eating them? Basically talking about killing people left and right.
[Lyric Clip]: Walked in your house, Shot him in the mouth, Lean back the head and pour the brains out.
[Ratings]: Overall Rating 7/10 Rated MA
That's the whole deal with the Carnival of Carnage. I'd recommend this cd to anyone who wants to follow ICP, or is already doing so. ICP fans MUST have this album, otherwise you are missing out on a major part of your life. Non fans of ICP will probably not enjoy hearing one bit of this album. Redneck alike probably won't find these songs appealing to them either. Be warned this album contain rasical slurs, sexual content, violent episodes, and alot of cussing. This is one of their worst albums (to non ICP fans) when you compare it to any other.
