Fizz911hk2's Full Review: F.T.T.W. by H2O (Hardcore)
Every once in a while I decide to take a risk with the music I buy. In fact, I've been doing it more and more lately. If I hadn't taken that risk I would have passed up what is now one of my favorite bands.
I had heard of H20 from just one song that I heard just once, called "One life, one chance". First of all, unless you listen to classical, start downloading this song now on Napster. It's probably the best song on the CD (don't let that pull you away from it) and one of my favorite songs ever. It's so happy.
H20's music is punk. It has every sympton (that I can think of). The music is really fast and sort of unorganized and sounds all the same...at first. When you start to listen a little more though, each song's individuality emerges. This is how all punk seems I think. When you listen to punk you have to be willing to love it...why am I giving directions for punk listening?
I admit I really don't listen to the lyrics, but H20's lyrics are actually pretty funny. For the most part, they're motivational! He talks about "how the fear in me is gone!" amongst other things. A lot of the CD has a good mood to it.
So, if you're a fan of Blink 182 (preferably the Dude Ranch CD) or...say... Pennywise, you should definately pick up H20's Faster than the World. If you're feeling down, listen to H20. If you feel that you don't have enough punk then buy H20. Please?
