I must say, I wasn't a very big fan of H2O until I bought this album. Not to make it sound like I've seen the light or anything. I just have more respect for them now.
I sort of bought this CD on good faith that it wouldn't suck. I saw the video for "One Life, One Chance" and thought it was a pretty good song. A few days later, I saw it in a record store for about $10.99 and when I bought it, I got a copy of Punk-O-Rama 4 for free (it's worth about as much as I paid for it). But it turned out that the tag was wrong and the H2O CD was actually about $16, but I still bought it. I'm glad I did too.
The CD starts out with "Faster Than The World," a hard and fast punk song, with gritty vocals and a good beat. The whole CD is really like this, which is both good and bad. All the songs are chock-full of energy. This is stated in the lyrics of "Faster Than The World," which go "We're faster than the world/We're faster than the world/We're faster than the world/We can't slow down." Don't get me wrong. I love fast, hard-hitting punk as much as the next guy, but when all the songs sound pretty much the same, it gets old. "Faster Than The World," "Fading," and "One Life, One Chance" are 3 of the better songs on the CD that stand out from the rest.
So, if you're a fan of H2O, or you just like good fast punk, I recommend this CD for your listening pleasure. But if repetitive songs get on your nerves, than stay away from it.
