Rosethyme's Full Review: Indigo Swing by Indigo Swing
My husband and I teach basic ballroom dance, and one of our favorite classes is swing. We are always looking for music to use in class. We use all the old favorites, Elvis, Dion, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison etc. but we also like to try some of the hot new bands.
Last year we heard about Indigo Swing and logged onto their website. They are fabulous. They sent us a promo tape which we liked. So we went out and bought the CD: it’s great. There are several songs on it that are good, not just one or two. How Lucky Can One Guy Be, is our favorite, we use it for triple swing. There’s Blue Suit Boogie, another is Baron Plays the Horses, and of course, Indigo Swing. All have that nostalgic quality of the 40’s and 50’s but with something new. It has vocals that are low, earthy, and sexy. Music with good strong rhythm, nice lyrics, and a catchy tempo that just makes you wanna dance. A winning combination in my opinion.
We use their CD as the main music for our swing dance class and we always recommend it to our students.
Plus, the Indigo Swing guys are some snappy dressers. I love the suits and hats. In all, a class act.
