I bought this CD for the song titled Thank You but the other songs pleasantly surprised me.
1.Here With Me- This song is so very sad, Dido sounds so pitiful and determined. I would hate to be in the person’s shoes that the song is about. This song is painful to listen to it brings back all of the old hurts and wrongs from years past. I had a love once that made me feel like this, his name was Michael. He left this world eight years ago. I loved him so much.

2. Hunter- This sound is about the singer telling her lover that she no longer wants to be a couple together with him. Hunter has a very pretty sound. I can relate to this song it is hard to tell someone that you aren’t interested in being with them any more.

I want to see the world alone again…
So let me go Let me leave
For the crown you have placed upon my head
Feels to heavy now
I don’t know what to say
So I smile anyway”
3. Don’t Think Of Me- This is a song about lost love, loosing the one you love to someone else. I can also relate to this and it is painful to loss your love to someone else. You can hear the anger and pain in her voice. This an okay song although it is not my favorite on this CD.

4. My Lover’s Gone- This is a very hauntingly beautiful song, which brings out the very best in Dido’s voice. My Lover’s Gone is about a lover dying. This song also reminds me of my first love, Michael.

He left at dawn and as I swept I felt him go
Returns no more
I will not watch the ocean
My love is gone
No earthly ships will ever bring him again…
I know that kiss will be my last
The song from his lips have past…”
5. All you want- This is not one of my favorites on this CD. The words and the music just don’t mesh as well as they could. This is a love gone wrong song.
“Now my bed feels cold
My hands feel empty…
It’s been three years one night apart
But in that night you tore my heart
If only you had slept alone
If only those seeds had not been sown
You could have come home…”
6. Thank You- This is one of the best songs on the CD. The music and Dido’s voice are pure heaven together. This song is about people who make other people’s day special just by being there.
“I want to thank you for giving me the best of my life
Even if my house falls down
I wouldn’t have a clue
Because you’re near me…”
7. Honestly OK- this song has some pretty strange music to it a mix between sci-fi and acid trip. LOL It has that wild echo, like she’s in a cave. It sounds like an acid trip would feel; it makes me feel kind of creepy.
“ Just want to be happy again
I just want to feel deep in my own world…
I want to feel save in my own skin…
But I’m so lonely
I don’t want to be alone with myself…”
8. Slide- Another creepy psychedelic sounding acid trippy song. It has strange sounds in the background. Someone behind this one had to be on some kind of drugs or something.

You need to get some rest…
Inside everybody’s hiding something…

Lay here and rest your head,

9. Iso bel- This song is about a girl named Iso bel that either killed herself or killed her boyfriend or her baby, I really can’t make a lot of sense out of this one. This one is pretty though.

I hope what you’ve done is right
Oh, it’s been such hell
I wish you well
It’s been a long day coming…”
10. I’m No Angel- This song has a very nice rhythm, The song is explaining that she’s angel and she will do as she pleases but that don’t mean that she can’t be good too. I can relate to this one, about stereotypes people put on each other.

Please don’t that I can’t cry
I’m no angel
Does that mean that I can’t live my life…?
Does that mean that I won’t fly…”
11. My Life- This song is nice, it is about being independent and not letting anyone control you or tell you what to do. It is a little depressing, she sounds frustrated and tired of explaining this to a man who doesn’t measure up to her expectations but is trying to run her life.

12. Take My Hand- I love this song, I reminds me of being with a very shy person and showing him things and asking him to tell you things. This is truly beautifully romantic song. It has a great rhythm and a great drum solo.
She’s trying to convince this person to trust her and love her. I think Take My Hand is a very sensuous song, this is my pick
