And Then the Radio Friendly Version Comes...

Pros:They have some catchy tunes
Cons:A little too trendy to last long

I don't know exactly why I like this album, but I do. It's total prep-rock, and it's not going to offend anybody. Some people compare Smash Mouth's style to that of the 60's. Well have that element in their music, and especially in Astro Lounge. They're one of those bands that's cool for a while, and then they fade out. It's okay to enjoy them while they last.

Astro Lounge has the hits "All Star" and "And Then The Morning Comes", both of which are played heavily on radio. Especially on San Diego's very own 95.7 FM, which never changes its godd*mned playlist! Honestly, I picked up this album because I wanted to buy a cd, and nothing else caught my eye. Luckily I liked it.

Smash Mouth plays well on Astro Lounge, and I dare say it is a party album. It's upbeat, it's rock-pop, and it's easy on the ears. If that's what your looking for, then here it is. Buy Astro Lounge.

I liked it, but I only bought it because I was dying for something new.
