Pros: Intelligent, witty lyrics; outstanding musicianship; warm, friendly, genuine, humorous singing.
Cons: "Princess Di's Distress", written before her death, could now be viewed as tacky.

Hi Maryanne!

What a terrific review! I heard many of these songs in concert 2 years ago. We had to drive all the way to Ft. Collins from Littleton ... about a 90 minute drive ... for a 60 minute concert! But the kids were thrilled to finally get to see "Chapin"! He's a good friend to my cousin Johanna, who wrote and performed "Dance With Me", by Orleans (her husband is the lead singer).

Anyway, we'll have to add Moonbeam to our growing collection of "Chapin" CDs.

Debbie, the PianomaM :)

your early memories of the Chapins. I wish I had had the same opportunity. Thanks for this wonderful review. I hope it makes lots of money for World Hunger Year.
