julesa's Full Review: The First Ten Years by Shawn Mullins
I was fortunate to see Shaun Mullins perform live in 'The Metro' a club in Sydney Australia. Already a fan I entered the auditorium in extatic motion. When the ever aura alluring Mullins entered the stage the crowd cheered....but no one was prepared for such an awesome talent. He wasn't a big name at this stage, but after that concert he was well on the way to stardom in a big way. The man is so talented when I left the concert I bought "Soul's Core", excellent album. But there were songs he sung that captivated me with such depth as Cat Stevens "Father & Son". Weeks past and I searched for the previous Mullins stash!! I found "The First Ten Years." How could it have taken such brilliance to be noticed?? The song "Joshua" is my favourite, its about a boy with a much older friend and how he was so inspirational to the boy. In our lives all of us have that special someone. All I can say is buy "The First Ten Years", it will be one of those albums you never tire of playing.....I honestly mean that I have over 500 and its still my favourite.
