When was the last time you put a CD in your stereo and knew, immediately, that although you did not know what something was, it was true? Well, that has been my experience with this terrific album.
It’s a rarity that a record is able to use it’s tools to inform you of it’s ideas without falling prey to it’s own didacticism. It does not tell you, but allows you to explore, a rare thing in music today. This album’s stories are interwoven by its theme of communication lost in it’s own schematic. The ingenious use of reverb, noise and found sound are blended, juxtaposed and collided in an exciting (and surprisingly low-key) stew of thoughts and half steps.
Buy this album and let it sit with you a while. You’ll be back.
