Acarian's Full Review: Get Rich or Die Tryin' [PA] by 50 Cent
"Joy wouldn't feel so good if it wasn't for pain."
It is a quote said by 50cent. This rapper is straight out of the streets of Queens, New York. He has been in the rap game for more than a while and it is about time this rapper get noticed. People basically like him or hate him. Heck, there are a lot of reasons why people would hate 50cent. His rap songs are backed up by co-productions that would blow away most. The two front men that made it happen are Eminem and Dr. Dre. Eminem helped 50cent on his lyrics and Dre put down some of the hot beats found on some of the tracks on this new album. After being shot 9 times in the street, 50cent has basically been down to rock bottom and close the sheer death. I assume that is where his quote of pain came from. Ever wonder where the name 50cent came from? Well, I just found out yesterday watching TRL not like I like that show. It turns out 50cent is a metaphor for change. Knowing it is all about the bling-bling I thought 50cent was slang for diamonds or something scratch that thought out. He claims to be brushed by just a few shells, nothing too bad right? 50cent also claims he has sold crack, killed people, and just kept it gangster all his life. What is it all about, sounds like a Thug or wannabe. For what credit we can give 50cent some of his rhymes are straight and genuinely good to say the least. Some of the tracks lack beat and show lyrically no talent. Luckily, for what tracks just straight up suck, there are fillers. Let us get past all the hype of 50cent and just try to examine this rappers album from a creative viewpoint. Did the image of sex, drugs, guns, and prostitution immensely change on this one? Maybe a little but for the most part it is all the same.
50cents real name is Curtis Jackson if anyone really cared to know. The new album that has been released is guaranteed to be a number one best seller. For all the promotional money and hype 50cent has got his advertising and publicity over wraps. One thing about 50cent you cannot deny, hate him or not, he has something special going on with the audience. That little twinkle in his eye, and maybe a platinum teeth smile is sure to attract some good reactions. If you ever get the chance to see him perform live you probably would fully understand what I mean. Who ever heard of a 26-year-old rapper with a platinum grill? Okay so maybe 50cent is not that platinumized (word invented by me) just yet, but maybe one day his grill will match Lil Waynes for instance. That rapper does not have one normal white enamel tooth. The front of this album is sure an eye catcher. 50cent is decked out in diamonds and platinum. He also is showing off his sexy six pack (is sexy allowed in an epinion ). 50cent mentions that he started to work out after his run in with the 9 bullet holes in his body. Well 50cent, glad that was a source of inspiration for you. Now we all know 50cent was serious when he said he shot up the clubs. He has been busted for having to hand guns in a club recently after police conducted an investigation. 50cent is a gangster believe it or not, look at his crime record he fits the profile. If this method of fame and crime prove to be successful, then more power to 50cent. As of now I have to give my man full props.
We all want the low down and juice on where 50s rivals and beef is with on this album. It is just like the infamous stand off between Jayz vs. NAS. The brewing of the battle has already begun, directing the first blow straight at Jarule. Here is a quote directly said by 50cent: "I try to not focus on Ja Rule because that boy is not making me sell records. Needless to say it was a straight up diss to Jarule. 50cent also bashed up on Ashanti, saying her material is useless and her sideburns are as thick as Eddie Munster. I would have to say that was pretty funny. 50cent also claims he knows who killed Pac. Considering 50 signed his record deal in the hospital he has definitely got something to show for the hip-hop community. Just take my word for it, this rapper is straight up gangster.

I will only share with the audience the tracks worth discussing. First off, we all know Eminem is formidably the best rhymer and rapper in the game right now. A little help from Em on the track Patiently Waiting definitely has made this song worth listening to. The song has some nice beat loops. What the f*ck do you got? You got the realest and illest killers Tied up in a knot The Jebanauds of this rap sh*t Like it or not it's like a fight to the top To see who die for the spot. Another track called Many men (wish death) is another good track on this album. This track is also produced by Eminem. Here is a hook you will sure remember Some days wouldn't be special, if it wasn't for rain Joy wouldn't feel so good, if it wasn't for pain Death gotta be easy, 'cause life is hard It'll leave you physically, mentally, and emotionally scarred.
Maybe this track was inspired by 50cents run-in with a gun. In Da Club is also another track I like. This one was made for the clubs in heavy rotation I might add. Dre produces the beat on this track, and turns it into a banger. Bloodhound is another track notable on Get Rich or Die Trying. Young buck is featured in this song, and fits the atmosphere of the song perfectly. It has got a hot beat, definitely another one for club material. I love to pump crack, I love to stay strapped, I love to squeeze gats but you dont hear me though This is one of my favorite tracks off the album indelibly. Other tracks like I know you like my style, and Por Lil rich (produced by Eminem). are other definite good solid, and safe tracks off this album. The track called 20 Questions featuring Nate Dogg is another excellent track off the album. It gives a little change from the constant Im gonna kill you image into a little bit more laid back beat. Don't Push Me - featuring Lloyd Banks & Eminem (produced by Eminem) is another album which is about your average Im gonna blow your head off track. Wanksta used to be a favorite track of mine till it got so much airway on the radio I about got sick and tired of it before 50s album even came out.
50cent is definitely holding his part down on this album. If I forgot to mention any tracks it was because they did not provide enough spiff to even consider adding to my favorites list. Just to put it this way over half of the tracks on this album are solid give 50cent that much credit. With new producers on his side, hopefully 50cents career is only in the beginning stages of stardom. In reality 50cent has always been lyrically inclined, and has had the talent to make it. Just also the way he has ran into the wrong record companies and that totally threw him off track. People grow and get wiser as 50cent said himself. So do yourself a favor, go out and buy Get rich or die trying. Most likely you will love it or hate it, trust me on this one. If you have any doubts ask yourself, Do I really like 50 cent? If the answer is no then you already answered it yourself. If your still clue less then do not even listen to me, after all I am just a 17 year-old girl who loves hip-hop with an unnatural sense of sarcasm, what is there to like about that
This album features 50 Cent s Wanksta single from the 8 Mile soundtrack. Get Rich or Die Trying also features In Da Club, the first Dre-produced track...More at Buy.com Marketplaces
