Thanks for your review of the new Eels CD... I didn't even know it was out until I saw this! I've been a huge fan since A Man Called (E), so I'm excited to get this. Your review was well balanced and I could get a feel for how much I might like the album compared to other Eels stuff because of your own placement of Shootenany in the whole catalog.

Yup. Released tomorrow. I love ArtistDirect. They sent it on Thursday and I got it Saturday!
Yeah--this is VERY disappointing. There was also a second live album FYI called Elecro-Shock Blues Show. That one is also good. Have you checked out the MC Honky? While definitely strange, it's a return (kind of) to the earlier greatest E. Have you heard his earliest solo stuff? That too is great.
Shootenanny! on the other hand is--well--boring.
