Nice! (Reply to this comment)

Mike and I swore we'd get our write-off participants hooked on Hamilton's record... unfortunately, it's copy-protected, so I haven't been able to ship a copy off to Guildenstern and had to settle for Funkadelic, but still, fantastic review, Shelly! Great album, too.

Very nice. Anthony Hamilton came to town last month. I didn't get to see him, but everyone I know who did just raved about his show. Its great to see his album is just as good. "Coming From Where I'm From" is definitely one of the few new-ish R&B/Soul songs I can stomach nowadays, so I may pick this up.

I'll agree with Mike. Great job. Now I'd have an ear to ear grin if my copy worked. Mike sent me one of his copies during XMAS and it was great, until the last three songs didn't work. But, I will buy this.
It is a really damn good album and your review did it justice.

Shelly...
Great review...it's nice to see other people agree with me on the state of "R&B" and "Soul" music these days
Thanks for joining in yet again...something tells me you'll be back next year

Shelly. I'm glad to see my homeboy Mike got you hooked onto Anthony Hamilton. He's one of the few genuinely talented singer-songwriters left in the R&B game and he needs to be recognized for the sake of R&B. And it's unanimous; Lucille is by far the best record on the album. Glad you enjoyed it.
