Wherever You Will Go
Written: Nov 01 '01
Pros:Good lyrics, singer has a good voice, good guitar
Cons:None
The Bottom Line: Good vocals and lyrics. They write their own songs, so they come from the soul. Their album features some good guitar, too.
Take this album with you. This is a great album, I was hooked the first time I put it in my CD player. I had heard these guys' single on the radio, Wherever You Will Go, and I had the opportunity to see them play. They played one night at my college. I was impressed enough to give their album a shot, glad I did. It has great vocals--this boy has a range. The lyrics are good and the music is outstanding. I think they are better than Lifehouse (which I don't care for at all) with whom they were touring. They remind me of Fuel or Creed only the music is not as heavy.
1. Unstoppable-- Great tune about the complexities of love. Has a great guitar in the beginning and great high part in chorus.
2. Nothing's Changed--I didn't like this one at first. It has great lyrics, and a great guitar part--but they didn't seem to fit together. It has grown on me, but its probably my least favorite on the album.
3. Wherever You Will Go--This is the great love song that you probably have heard on the radio. About someone wishing they could be with the one they love. It also has a soft, pretty guitar part.
4. Could It Be Any Harder--Great ballad. This song is about losing someone--possibly in death. Its very touching.
5. Final Answer--Another good song, with good music and lyrics.
6. Adrienne--About a girl who used a boy and left him, and he is hurt and mad. Gave everything he had to give, but it wasn't enough. Good lyrics and music.
7. We're Forgiven--Nice ballad. my favorite on the album, its about all the people who are in need that we refuse to see. The chorus is "So we laugh, and we smile--And we play our games of sweet denial--But don't tell me we'r forgiven--if we hold, all our breath--If we kneel right down and just repent--You can't tell me we're forgiven. Powerful song.
8. Things Don't Always Turn Out That Way--The is a great tune. About a guy who is obsessed with a girl who probably doesn't know he's alive. Its got a great tune that makes me want to get up and dance.
9. Just That Good--Interesting song. Good tune--fair lyrics.
10. Thank You--Up tempo song, about the flip side of life, and being thankful for what you have. Great vocals.
11. Stigmatized--great song about two people who are different that stay together because they love each other even though at times it can be difficult. Very good ballad.
This is a great album. Its ballads are not terribly slow or boring. The lyrics are very heart-felt. Its a great first album for this band. The vocals by the lead singer, Alex Band, are superb. I have been listening to this album while driving and while working at my computer. I would recommend this album if you like Lifehouse.
