I honestly don't know what the difference is, but a little research turned up that there is a release in the UK by a label called "Mayan" that has the same track listing but was released one day earlier. I guess to your question, you may as well buy the domestic version.

I do have the domestic version (it was a promo)...so...yeah. Thanks for the comment, compliment, and stopping by. It is much appreciated.

What scheme grander? (Reply to this comment)

Great review touching on a behind the song type of vein of things, I liked it.

I do have a question, I'm seeing the cd at amazon and there is an import version that is more expensive, $21 as opposed to $9.50 (used and new).
Do you know what the difference is, and which one do you have?

I say great day, heh heh

Hmmm...please elaborate. I'd love to hear your opinions about Ministry and what I should have added to my review to make it perfect.

Thanks for the feedback.

Ah, Ministry... (Reply to this comment)

I haven't thought about Ministry for years. I fondly remember the summer of 1992, when I spent a weekend visiting friends at college (I was home for the summer). We listened to "Stigmata" at a crazy noise level in the women's bathroom. This was, of course, during the Bush I administration (when almost seems competent compared to this one).

Great review, it really jogged my memory!

Gawd. No. I suck. See. More ignorance. I think it is still Gibby Haynes (thinking back to the one Butthole Surfers album I own--you can guess the one). The vocals are just MUCH more buried and much less intelligible.

I don't believe it is the same. I can't swear to it, but as far as I can tell it was specifically "updated" with at least new sound bites for this recording.

Yeah. I thought about mentioning that some of this was just recently released but for some reason it all seems to fit (newish or oldish) into this context. I dunno. Don't blame me for my relative ignorance ;) I only have two or three Ministry albums besides this one ;)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. As always it is appreciated.

"didn't want to rip off the kids..." i dunno, this looks an *awful* lot like a clever way to get people to bust out 15 bucks for a couple of rare tracks. i mean, "waiting"? "no w"? remixed or not, these are things that just came out last year. any idea whether "no w" is the same as any of the three versions that came before rantology?

eh. i'll probably still buy it. which is exactly why he released it.

oh, question - did he re-record the vocals for 'jesus built my hotrod'? the reason you'd have enjoyed the original is because it's actually the butthole surfers' gibby haynes on vocals. i can't picture the song without him.

cheers,
