The Beatles were definitely a major springboard to other artists and styles for me as well. I got into the Beatles in tenth grade I believe. By my senior year in high school, I had every album... either on cd, cassette or record.
Right after 9/11/01, I spent a lot of time listening to the Beatles to get my head back together. These songs have a healing quality to them for me, and they'll always have place in my heart.
Of the love songs, my faves are I will, Julia, And I Love Her, I've Just Seen a Face, Every Little Thing, Somewhere, For You Blue and Norwegian Wood.
Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) is of course a song about cheating, but damn it's pretty.

...I sang "I Am The Eggman" to my whole class in 3rd grade. They thought I was insane. Which I was.
