Sheryl Crow is going to suffer through some mid-years similar to Bonnie Raitt, although she's had much more success early on. Tuesday Night Music Club was a wonderful debut album for a female singer-songwriter - ranking up with Carole King and others. But Crow can rock and as critics look back ten or twenty years from now, they'll recognize how many other artists Crow influenced.

I'm reminded of a line Dave Marsh wrote about Madonna more than a decade ago, "She's earned her right to party."

Ditto for the former Missouri schoolteacher.

Nice job.
