...having entered college in 1981. We had maybe 20 other djs at our little college station and 15 of them must have had the band in an unofficial heavy rotation!

Thanks for the comment...it seems a lot of people like Echo & The Bunnymen. Kind of comes as a bit of a shock to me.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the comment! 1980 really was a long time ago...and I was just four years old then. Obviously it was impossible at that time to enjoy this band (or much of anything outside of Sesame Street, The Muppets, and Mister Rogers).

seeing Ian McCulloch and the lads, while they were recording Crocodiles in 1980!
I just can't believe it was so long ago, I had to dig out my Rock Discography just to double check the date you put in your review... I should never have doubted your accuracy!
Always enjoy your reviews of English Artists (and aren't there a lot of 'em!)

If you love Killing Moon, I highly recommend going here: http://www.joecoffee.net/ and downloading the free mp3 - the singer of this band, Paul Bearer, does a really cool acapella version of the song!
Just my random sidenote for the day.

I just have to share how much my football player jock boyfriend HATED all the teasing that would start when his Echo and the Bunnymen loving pals would call him 'Bunny' (based on his participation in a 6th grad musical of Alice in Wonderland) every time we heard a EBM song!!!! Maybe it's a you had to be there kind of thing ... but to this day (17 yrs later) I can't hear an EBM song or read something about them without thinking of my Bunny! *lol*
Thanks for the memory jolt! (and the GREAT review!)

Bring on the Dancing Horses was my favorite Echo and the Bunnymen song ever. What a walk down memory lane.
Thanks,
