I introduced this movie to a friend of mine who had never even heard of it. The movie is directed by my favorite, Steven Speilberg.
Folks, this one is good for a Friday or Saturday night romantic evening. The movie stars Richard Dreyfus, Holly Hunter, John Goodman, and Audrey Hepburn in her final role. It is a remake of a movie A Guy Named Joe, which starred Spencer Tracy and Irene Dunne.
The movie is about forest fighters who battle blazes from planes. Dreyfus is a pilot in love with Hunter. He dies in a plane crash after saving his friend. He remains in the picture as a ghost, encouraging Hunter to go on with her life, to find happiness and love with someone else even though he really isn't ready to give her up.
You might think that Richard Dreyfus and Holly Hunter don't really go together but after seeing this movie, you will change your mind. They are awsome together. The chemistry between them is terrific.
The best scene in the movie is when Hunter dances to Smoke Gets In Your Eyes, and Dreyfus, as a ghost, dances along side her. Ladies, get your tissues. This movie is a tear jerker, and good for all to see.
