This movie is one of my all time favorites. Right up there with Caddy Shack. First off I love Walter Mathau character in this movie of a stumbling drunk trying to teach a bunch of kids to play ball.
Tatum Oneil plays the pitcher who strikes everyone out. I actually had a huge crush on her growing up. Tanner, Ogolvie, Kelly and the rest of the gang look like they just came from boys prison. But they come together and actually do well.
I believe the story goes real well not slow in many spots at all. I have a tape of it here somewhere I think I will find it and watch it and maybe come back and add a litttle more since its been a little while.
I highly recommend it to people of all ages. The kid may not enjoy it to much because it probably looks black and white to them, but any baseball fan or kid lover can enjoy this. 2-4-6-8 who did we assisinate. Yankees Yankees Yeahhhhhhh Bearsssss. Had to throw that in.
